November 30, 200421 yr I don't want Butch to come to UF because I will only think about becoming a Gator fan which is filled with heart break. The Gator Nation only wants Butch because they look 300 miles south and see what he created. Then again that is Miami, and that gets recruits on its own. I don't know why Butch would want to come to UF where expectations are National Championship or bust, and join the SEC which is one of the toughest confrences to win. When it comes to college ball Butch is still highly regaurded he probably could land any job he wanted. I would think the LSU job would be more appealing since the fan base is not so hostile. I still wouldn't be surprised if Butch turned UF down for the same reason I think Spurrier did, the inablity of UF to recruit like it once did. Back in UF's "hay day" when they had that good run in the mid-90s there was no Miami to compete with. Now a-days UF fights with FSU for second in the state for bragging rights, Miami has a monopoly on state of Florida recruits. I don't think UF fans realize this from speaking to them up here in G'ville. If Butch comes in he will be expected at the least to make a BCS bowl next year, why would he want to come into that?
