December 1, 200421 yr The stuff I have been reading indicates that The unit is going to NY for Vazquez and two prospects. Great. What was interesting that I saw on ESPN insider is that the Yankees are going to pay $4 million a year toward his contract. That makes his 10.5 - 11.5 - 12.5 deal an easier to swallow 6.5 - 7.5 - 8.5 deal. Earlier in the offseason there was some talk of the Marlins getting involved and that the DBacks really liked Stokes. Vazquez at a three years $22.5 million deal? I would love it. He has better stuff than Pavano. He was terrible the second half of last year but alot of people said it was because he can't pitch in the pressure of NY. He has great stuff and put up great numbers in the NL playing for an awful team. He is a fly ball pitcher which would be great in JRS. vazquez,burnett,beckett and willis? Niiice!

December 3, 200421 yr Author my original post was suggesting a three way. (gotta love those three ways!) the unit goes to the yankees, the dbacks get two prospects from the yankees and stokes and we get vasquez. We could add a single a pitcher if need be. If we get leiter we will no longer have any interest in vazquez.
