Review of the New Marlins Ballpark

Featured Replies

While the idea for the aquarium in the new park seems pretty popular and is in most people's wish lists for the stadium, is it only me or do other new stadiums seem great without paying homage to their team in such a way?

Basically, the thought of a first-class ballpark is enough for me without an aquarium.

The latest reports have suggested the ball park would be situated to the east of the OB. With new county and city leadership in place, I wouldn't be surprised to see the location moved again before everything is settled. We should know within the next few months.

Problem with that is the ballpark would then be put in front of the OB's open end, therefore blocking the view.

I don't like the idea of two juxtapositioned stadiums. I know that land acquisition has already started, but is there a possibility of a new location? If so, where?

It works. And the baseball stadium would be a boon to the area, especially since Little Havana is a baseball suburb waiting to explode. The problem for many in Little Havana is PPS is too far to drive to after their long day at work and many simply can't pay the incredulous amount of money Huizenga puts up as parking price, concessions et al.
