Minor League Baseball in Orlando

Featured Replies

I know UCF's baseball program is in town as well as having the Devil Rays less than an hour away, but I think the Florida State League should return to Orlando to even out the amount of franchises in the league. The Devil Rays had their AA Orlando Devil Rays in Orlando (Tinker Field, moved to Disney, moved to Alabama to become the Montgomery Biscuits), but an FSL team should be something the Rays and Orlando could handle. Stick them at either Tinker Field or Disney's Wide World of Sports and get TV market #20 back into pro baseball!

What's the closest FSL team to Orlando?

I don't believe Kissimmee even plays in the league anymore.

I agree, Tampa has a team, Orlando should have one as well.

Orlando needs a team. They need to set the ground work for a possible ML team in the future (doubt they will get one with MIA and TB).

Orlando did have a minor league baseball team....the Orlando Cubs....at Tinker Field...when i lived in Sanford i used to go to there games somtimes..

The Cubs FSL team is in Daytona.

The Orlando Cubs were AA I believe.
