December 8, 200421 yr not offered arbitration by Oakland... i'd like to see him as a marlin u think theres any chance of us showing interest in him?
December 8, 200421 yr I'd say we're more likely to come away with Pedro. To get him, a lot of things would have to go right: 1) Encarnacion would be traded 2) He'd have to come way down from his demands 3) He'd have to prove he's healthy and productive. Not happening...
December 8, 200421 yr I'd say we're more likely to come away with Pedro. 629299 Great then we'd potentially have two pitcher who struggle to get 6 innings per start and with our bullpen that is not a good thing.
December 8, 200421 yr 2) He'd have to come way down from his demands 629299 What's he demanding? Over $10 mill. per year?
December 8, 200421 yr 2) He'd have to come way down from his demands 629299 What's he demanding? Over $10 mill. per year? 629304 He's said he's not taking a substantial pay-cut. That, at the very least, suggests that he's not going to sign for any less than we're paying Encarnacion, and at that price...what's the point?

Frankly, I don't see that happening any time soon. Gabe Kapler and Jermaine Dye sounds like a Hall of Fame outfield over in Japan.
