He hit .344 with a .462 OBP and a .500 SLG in AA-Trenton and instantly shot up the depth charts with the takeover of the new statistically-oriented regime. Ten years ago Bill James would have written about how a prospect like Youkilis with unbelievable plate discipline deserves a shot. Now, James may play a part in giving him a chance. Youkilis won't give you much in the way of power or defense (may see more time at first base or DH than third), but he'll hit for solid average and be a permanent fixture on base. If Hillenbrand is traded, Youkilis may see a shot at the starting job before the 2003 season is over. he is a sabermetrics dream, ie Billy Beane would love him

Either that of they cruised South Beach together... :w00t actually, i was a the sox marlins game, the blow out, and got both penny's and henry's autograph...... penny was signing and and henry came from behing him, put his arm around him and they started chatting it up for a while, they talked about millar a bit, then they went off and talked for a good 5 min more, i think henry does like him a lot :mischief2
