July 12, 200322 yr -lets take money out of the equation...what slugger wouldn't love to play for the Marlins? I mean we have IMO the best 1 2 punch in the game. I mean they could both be bonafide leadoff batters for any team in the NL. Imagine the RBI oppertunities would Lowell have 70 something RBI's if it where not for the marlin's leadoff batterS? -is DWillis' Rookie of the Year award in jeopardy? I mean everyone knows if the season ended today he would definatly be a unanamous(spelling) choice for RotY. But with Bo Hart doing what he's doing in STL will he have a chance to come up and steal one away from the fish? -why are cigarrettes addicting? -if we start the second half with a losing streak do you think we become a seller again and unload U2? -Cabie has had a decent debut in the bigs, but do you think the fish should try and find a real LF with power to take his place or do you think that spot is his for the rest of the year? -I feel like the Marlins will be in the race for the rest of the year. Only to be beaten out by the Phillies by .5 of a game. Trust me It will come down to the wire. -Is anyone even listening to me anymore? -Please reply i feel like chit-chatting.
July 12, 200322 yr im only gonna pick 1 topic because my attention span is nonexisting... ...what was the question again? D-Trelle has the ROY locked as long he doesnt implode in the 2nd half, and if he mirrors his 1st half he will not only win ROY but he will have quite a few Cy Young votes as well. As long as he wins 15 games with an era under 3 the ROY is his and Bo Hart will just have to live with that.
July 12, 200322 yr No. the ROY is looking like DW followed very closely by Brandon Webb and Horacio Ramirez... others include:Valverde, Jeriome Williams, Bo Hart, Marlon Byrd, Ty Wiggington, Jason Phillips, Jung Bong, etc
July 12, 200322 yr Author In just 21 games Bo Hart is batting .375 with 18 runs scored and 10 RBI's. not to mention he is pretty much keeping the slumping cardinals' in the central division race. The question was if he kept it up. Think about it how much his stats will boom. I really think if Hart and Dwill play like they have been Hart will be the only one to give willis a run for his money. Not to mention both are extremely charasmatic. Forget about the other guys keep your eyes on these two when it comes down to ROY.
July 12, 200322 yr um no Bo Hart = Super Joe McEwing he will die off watch Horacio Ramirez and Brandon Webb..... those are the only threats to DW right now
July 12, 200322 yr Author i disagree the only way Bo Hart will die off is if Vina comes back and Larussa thinks it would be better if he starts again. Hart to me is the real deal. and FYI i prefer to call super joe lil' mac as apposed to big mac (i think we all know who he is)
July 12, 200322 yr ok. but they said joe mcewing was the next great 2B... he came up and dominated.... now he is a utility guy
July 12, 200322 yr I feel like the Marlins will be in the race for the rest of the year. Only to be beaten out by the Phillies by .5 of a game. Trust me It will come down to the wire. Is it possible to be beaten out by .5 of a game after the season is over?
July 12, 200322 yr no. unless say the Phils have a game postponed and are still up .5 game at the end of the season and still havent played that game. but im sure the game would be played
July 12, 200322 yr Author IMHO lil mac could still produce if he where given the chance with the supporting cast he had with STL. I mean there is NOT another offense in the league (NL nor AL) Thats what Hart is experiencing now. Hart will keep that cast and do very well for the rest of the year.
July 12, 200322 yr Author Is it possible to be beaten out by .5 of a game after the season is over? I know its not possible to lose by .5 a game, but what i was saying is they will be in it for the whole year. and it will come down to the wire.
July 12, 200322 yr No. the ROY is looking like DW followed very closely by Brandon Webb and Horacio Ramirez... others include:Valverde, Jeriome Williams, Bo Hart, Marlon Byrd, Ty Wiggington, Jason Phillips, Jung Bong, etc The difference between those guys and Dontrelle? D-Train is an All-Star.
July 12, 200322 yr doesnt mean he is a lock If he does half as good as he has already it does...(exagerating) But you know his performence isn't going to let up much, if at all. Which means he is virtually a lock. Being an All-Star doesn't hurt his chances, either...
July 12, 200322 yr agreed. but he isnt a lock. but i do want him to win it I think he is anywhere in the 90-95% range to be a lock. BTW: Have fun at the Derby! :w00t
July 12, 200322 yr I know this shouldnt even be looked at now, this is just for fun, but if it does come right down the wire, these are who the top wild card contenders finish the season with: Marlins vs. Mets Phillies vs. Atlanta Expos at Cincinnati D-Backs vs. Cards Dodgers at Giants
July 12, 200322 yr Yeah that schedule does look pretty enticing. We have a fairly easy last series, while the Phillies have quite the difficult one. Let's just hope things go according to plan!
July 12, 200322 yr Yeah that schedule does look pretty enticing. We have a fairly easy last series, while the Phillies have quite the difficult one. Let's just hope things go according to plan! We have an easy last series but an extremely difficult last month. We face the Mets, Expos, Mets, Braves, Phillies, Braves, Phillies, and Mets (ALL NL EAST MONTH!!!). That month is HUGE if we're still in it at that point, the 3 games against the Spos and 6 against Philly. August is so-so, playing bad teams like Milwaukee, San Diego, and Pittsburgh along with some pretty good teams in Houston, St. Louis, LA, Colorado, and San Fran. Not to mention, of course, a 4-gamer with Montreal at the end of August (that's gonna be huge as well).
July 12, 200322 yr I have a feeling everyone in the top 4-5 for thr WC will be in it all year. One big roller coaster ride...
