Mabdul Doobakus
Hey, this is hardly a time for objectivity. DELGADO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
flasportsfan88
Delgado.? He has the defense AND the bat while Thome just has the bat. 667557 What!? Thome is a lot better defensively than Delgado. 667559 Perhaps right now. But just give Perry Hill a few months with Delgado and that could change. 667639 I guess ill have to post it again Delgado had the 6th best Fielding PCT. for 1b in the MLB last year... Thome at 13 Delgado also 3rd in range factor, 5th in zone rating. Nice scope Accord

TSwift25
Thome's numbers'll be a tad better because of the ballpark, but Delgado is younger... I'd say Thome by thismuch, but Delgado could be better by the end of the year with his lineup protection.
MikeyFan
With Pierre, Castillo, and Cabs always getting on base....it wouldn't shock me to see Delgado have 130-140 ribbies. As long as he hits over 30 jacks, Im happy! I feel the same way, but take a look at the ESPN article. On the side there is a fantasy take on the deal, and they basically say this is the worst place he could have ended up. I agree with the ballpark dimension arguments, but they also say something to the effect of, "In that lineup there's no way he's getting 130 RBI." That's a totally ridiculous statement and shows how little sportswriters know about sports outside of NY, Boston, and LA. 667638 ...and in a lineup that will hinder his chances of ever approaching 130 RBI again  I'm pretty sure he'll be getting plenty of RBI's..... Flying_Mollusk
Cliff Floyd did fine here. Delgado should at worst put up the numbers Floyd did and thats huge.
