The station has hired Florida meteorologist Roland Steadham to replace Eubank as chief weatherman. Steadham currently is the chief meteorologist at WTVJ, the NBC affiliate in Miami and will begin at KUTV in early March.

Steadham began his career at KUTV for one year in the early 1980s after attending both Brigham Young University and the University of Utah.

Miami TV Meteorology just keeps getting worse. Only Norcross and Noe remain from the powerful 4 that once was. CBS4 still has Bob Soper (excellent man) and NBC6 has John Gerard (excellent man as well)......this is not looking good however for the viewers when bad storms threaten.

Miami TV stations better get trained and competent people in there to prevent another Andrew-like information blackout.

With all the tools and gizmos (not to mention hurricnae season) NBC 6 has to offer Roland must really want to leave.

First Kamal (albeit different circumstances) now Steadham.....this blows

I also think John Morales could take the post at NBC. He's right behind Norcross

I was discussing this with Beinfest4Prez earlier. I think the multitasking could happen, but during a storm it would be a disaster. 51 won't let him go and 6 really doesn't need him that bad.

Speaking of weathermen, I like how the guy who took over for Child Predator has grown up. Early on he was very nervous every night, now I'm amazed at how much be has progressed.
