February 10, 200521 yr Why did we lose the 2001 ASG? 681988 Simple. MLB felt that South Florida and the Marlins had become an embarrassment after what happend during the '98 season. So they came up with the excuse that from then on, only 'Baseball only' parks would be allowed to host an All-Star game. It was really no big deal with Philadelpha and other dual purpose stadiums were hosting the ASG, but after winning the WS and then losing 100 games the next season, MLB was embarrassed and pulled it for Atlanta. Thats okay Bud, we've never forgotten :fyou :fyou :fyou

Huizenga might have destroyed the team, but the fans weren't much better. Fairweather, except for a select few.

Besides, you can't really expect the fans to sit through that 100 loss season after everything that had happend to them. If the Marlins had kept that team together, it is almost guarenteed that team would have started building a solid fan base long before the 2003 WS run.
February 10, 200521 yr Will the Super Bowl be coming back to Miami any time soon? 682099 2007 Miami will host the SB 2006 Detroit
