February 12, 200521 yr If you follow Bill James, and/ or have read the Historical Baseball Abstract, you would know that he is really high on Craig Biggio. Among other things, James has said about Biggio: *He is the best ever when it comes to the "little stats" (HBP, GIDP, SH, SF) *(through 2000) he's the 5th greatest 2B of all time, behind Joe Morgan, Eddie Collins, Rogers Hornsby, and Jackie Robinson *he was the second best player of the nineties (behind Bonds) *at the turn of the century, he was the best in baseball *about five years ago listed Biggio on the 30's among the all time list Do you agree? Discuss.
February 12, 200521 yr he played the majority of his career in teh astrodome, taking away a ton of offensive stats. he's one of the all time greats, will be a hall of famer.
February 12, 200521 yr Craig Biggio should be a hall of famer and he's certainly one of the top five second basemen of all time. When you consider the fact that he started off as a catcher, moved to second base, and then proceeded to win a number of GG's at that position... it's even more impressive. You'd be hardpressed to find any player more versatile than Craig Biggion over the last 15-20 years.
