Can't, they must play through them. The Renovations won't be done until 2004 or at the latest 2005.

The only thing left to fix is the upper deck. The sold the naming rights for $68 million in order to fix the upper deck. I believe they will demolish the upper deck and parts of the skyboxes in order to build the new upper deck. Since the lower deck has so many seats, they will continue play through the renovations.

The ballpark is not a dump, it was built before the current Retro era and is modern. The scoreboard is new along with many of the outfield bleachers and patio.
