Well now that they a way better closer than what Mantei or even Alfonseca used to be they are crazy? There is no diffrence at all, but one never changes sport writers down here are never happy. Thats the problem. Not to rain on everybody's parade down here, but the reaction to both deals was somewhat similar. I remember Dombrowski being hailed as a genius for grabbing not only Brad Penny in the deal, but "stealing" Abraham Nunez as well. There were comments that Arizona overpaid for Mantei also. Of course, with all prospects, you never know. Vladi has imploded, Abraham hasn't sniffed "the show" yet, and Penny has to get over the hump and become a "pitcher" and not a "hurler!" But on the flipside, Mantei really hasn't done much for Arizona because of his chronic injuries.
