Pictures of RFK Stadium Construction

It's nowhere near finished. I'll bet it is going to look flippin sweet when I head up there this summer

It doesn't look bad for a building older than the one they are moving from.

RFK Stadium: 1962

Olympic Stadium: 1977

RFK will likely be better for baseball than Olympic Stadium.

I actually think they're going to do a decent job fixing up the place. The real problem is that they have to keep working on the field for soccer and baseball configurations. It's going to be very complicated. :plain

For an old facility, it's not so bad. I never saw an actual ballgame there, being that the Senators left the year I was born. Still, I think hitters are going to love that place, especially when the humidity spikes up in the summertime.

It's a ballpark with real grass. That's all the Nats can ever ask for.

Olympic stadium wasn't built for baseball, it was very poorly renovated for it, this stadium was built for the washington senators, meaning it is actualy a baseball park.

it looks like a good tempory stadium, when the senators played their last game the stadium held 45,000 so i'd assume that's how much it will hold now.

It'll do the job for a few years.

Before they get 'contracted' for the umpteenth time.
