Miami vs. G. Tech

63-all with 3 minutes and change left.

what looked like a comfortable win just minutes ago is shaping up to be a nailbiter.

we were up by 8 late and controlling the pace...then all of a sudden tech goes on a 12-0 run.

Up 8 with about 7 minutes left, Miami did just about everything they could to blow this game, and you could just watch it slowly happening.

Complaining about calls, missing every FT, including the front end of two 1-and-1s, poor shot selection, turnovers...I mean they just put together the full package.

meanwhile, haith stood around like a bewildered mute while the players kept getting flustered.

to his credit, he did finally call that timeout after the lead completely disappeared and we started trailing.

Yeah, he really needed to get the players focus back on their opponent...

Anthony Harris has the decision making skills of a chihuahua...

Oh, well...realistically, UM's shot at the NCAA tournament is over. I'm sure looking back on it, this season will seem like an accomplishment, but right now, after watching the last 7 minutes of this game, it just feels like they blew it.

It seemed almost likey they expected to lose, and once one or two things went against them, everything fell completely apart.

Dood, we weren't expected to win a single ACC game. If we do beat Duke and make the NCAA tourney I will be ecstatic, but realisticaly we will lose and still make the NIT. This has been a great season and Haith deserves Coach of the Year for the ACC for this great accomplishment.

Yeah, I hear you...still doesn't change the fact that they blew it. I agree with you on Haith, though. Seth Greenberg will get some votes as well.

i left the game taping while i went out. i kept threatning harris' life everytime he touched the ball in the 2nd half if he threw up another one of those idiotic 3's. its frustrating right now like mabdul said but this was a good season. the NIT is better than what we've been to the last 2 seasons and more than what was expected this year, also we can make some noise there so this march can still be interesting for us.

can I also put some blame on Diaz? kid needs to stop reading his own newspaper headlines & take care of the basketball. as talented as he is, he doesn't seem to involve anyone else on the team when he has the basketball, can't play pick-&-rolls, doesn't play enough defense. I only complain because he has the talent to be a star. Yay for his 4 steals, now how many turnovers down the stretch did he have? He also missed the front end of a 1-&-1 just when GTech started to pull away.

Agreed about Harris, coach Haith ought to forbid him from ever shooting another 3 in the second half of games. Terrible shots.

Just killed me watching those leads disappear over & over and the tournament hopes go down the toilet.

Oh well, surprised a lot of people this year & should have a good team back next season.

& hey they could always still upset Duke right?? :plain

Or hopefully a good run in the ACC tournament would do the job.
