February 27, 200521 yr FSN Florida has a new owner, FOX.(FSN Florida is bought by News Corp.) With this announcement comes the change in management. FSN Florida will now by run by News Corp which runs most of the Fox Sports Net affiliates out there. With this change, there should also be changes coming in Marlins coverage on FSN. What would you like to see FSN add? The one thing I would like for FSN Florida to add (or bring back) is the Florida Sports Report. But this time, make it entertaining to watch and informative. It should be shown every weekday and be like a newscast on the Marlins (mostly), Panthers, Devil Rays, and the other sports teams. However, it should mostly be the Marlins since they are the main part of FSN Florida. Sun Sports (also owned by News Corp) used to have a show as well and it also cancelled it. I think Florida is ready to bring it back and if it is as good as the Southern or Rocky Mountain versions in covering baseball, we will have some of the best Marlins coverage ever. February 27, 200521 yr I would just like to see FSN FL and Sun Sports be split into two - show Heat/Marlins on one channel, Magic/DRays on the other...that way people in Tallahassee can decide which channel to watch...I think this would also be good from an advertising perspective...but what do I know.

February 27, 200521 yr Sports Talk Live is basically the same questions that you would hear on LeBatard, Sciambi, or another sports radio station. Originality is definitely a plus, and I think that's what our boys on Sun Sports lack. Maybe they don't have the best people for the job--but it's also the fault of management and directors.

February 27, 200521 yr More of the stuff for kids (regarding the Marlins) to build an identity and a lifelong fanbase, not to mention "Mommy, Daddy when are we going to a Marlins game?" I like the idea of a local sports talk/call-in show, especially after games. I don't mean with Crow (puke) or and of these multi-sport, baseball-hating steroid-adled football jocks, with guys (or women) who can actually have an intelligent conversation about the game. One thing I would love to see is for Fox to package all those tips for kids they've done in the past and distribute them through youth baseball programs in the area. Some of it is invaluable and LL coaches will tell that hearing/seeing it from MLB players means everthing to these kids. David Cone spent an hour and a half with my kid and a couple of others yesterday showing them how to improve their pitching. It was the highlight of his life. Having JP showing them how to take a lead or steal, or a pitcher showing them a slide step or Conine (well now Delgado) at on how to play first is something a kid would watch over and over and learn from, and Fox has hours of that stuff in the can.
