Chris (Rochester, NY): How's ESPN the weekend? SportsNation Brian Urlacher: I"m here with my daughter, so I have no choice but to go on all the rides. We're having a great time! mesa ,az: with randy moss leaving minnesota will you be upset not being able to level him on the football field? SportsNation Brian Urlacher: No! I'm excited that he is out of our division. Finally! He is a great player. Roger (Vermont): Hey Brian, can you tell us a little bit about those Nike mask commercials? Thanks! SportsNation Brian Urlacher: Yeah, i went out to L.A. and Nike had the concept of us wearing masks, we put 'em on, ran around for a little while, it was a lot of fun. The director was cool. It was a lot of fun and I think it came out pretty good. Chris (Chitown): How's the hammy? THe bears D really missed you!! SportsNation Brian Urlacher: It's getting better. I've been hittin' rehab since the season ended and it's gradually getting better. It will be fine by the time the season starts. Matt (Detroit): Who is the toughest running back you've had to bring down? SportsNation Brian Urlacher: Whooo man! Tough one! Ahmad Green is pretty good. Ricky Williams was tough. Ross: What was the first car you ever had? SportsNation Brian Urlacher: A 1978 white Chevy Love. I drove it all the way through high school! Rocco(ILL, chicago: With the 4th overall draft pick. What position do you feel we need to adderess in this years draft. SportsNation Brian Urlacher: I think they'll draft a receiver, but I'm not sure. I guess it depends on who is available, but I think they'll go with a receiver. Kevin (Washington, DC): Brian last year you and the rest of the defense played well enough to win most games but were let down by the offense. How confident are you, with the return of Rex Grossman and moves made through free agency and the draft to bolster the offense, that the Bears could contend for the North title this year? SportsNation Brian Urlacher: I am very confident, I think that with Rex in there, we will be right were we need to be. Plus, once we get our O-line healthy, we'll be right in the mix. Collin (Franklin, MA): Cubs or White Sox? SportsNation Brian Urlacher: Cubs! I used to watch WGN growing up as a kid. Shawn, Vegas: Brian, Huge fan of yours. Thanks for all the sacks!!! If they asked you to be on "The Simple Life" SportsNation Brian Urlacher: Haha! I would say that there is a really good chance that is not going to happen. K-Dog (South Fla (Chitown native)): Have you followed any College BBall this year? How bout them Illini? SportsNation Brian Urlacher: Yeah, I'm a big college hoops fan. The Illini are donig great! ... AND, my Tar Heels are No. 3. UNC is my team! Dave (Potomac, MD): what position would you like to play if you wern't a linebacker? SportsNation Brian Urlacher: Quarterback ... because it's a penalty if I get hit! If I wasn't a football player, I would LOVE to be a professional golfer ... even though I 'm not very good. It'd be fun. Doug (Tracy, CA): What's up with those Nike mask commercials? Did you get to pick your mask? SportsNation Brian Urlacher: Nope, I just showed up, they told me what I was wearing. Mike (Philly): Who do you think is the best linebacker in the NFL right now? Most respect for? SportsNation Brian Urlacher: Hmm. Zach Thomas. He's not a big guy but he plays so hard. bill (cincinnati): Brian Urlacher or Ray Lewis? who would be better to build a team around SportsNation Brian Urlacher: I think we're both good choices. I'm a little younger! But you can't go wrong with either one. Scotti (richmond, va): Hey Brian, which QB do you enjoy put a good hit on the most? SportsNation Brian Urlacher: There's not really one more than another. IT feels good to put a hit on anybody, once you get there, it's a lot of fun to put a hit on any QB. Ed (NYC): Who is the most underrated player in the NFL? Bears? SportsNation Brian Urlacher: I'd say, Donnie Edwards, a guy in San Diego who makes a ton of plays ever year. And on my team, Mike Brown and Jerry Azumah are guys you don't know too much about, ... but you should! SportsNation Brian Urlacher: I'd say, Donnie Edwards, a guy in San Diego who makes a ton of plays ever year. February 28, 200521 yr Author Thanks bud.. Looks this chat was after we got Moose.. Was hoping he'd get into a little more in depth on stuff like the OLine and the draft.. I'm interested to see how the Bears draft now that they've got Muhhammad. Bears were a different team when Urlacher played.. allowed the fewest points a game in the league when he played and were 5-4 with him, 0-7 without him. Anywho Anyway, thanks again. If you ever need anything from rivals or whatever, i'd be glad to hook you up.
