March 11, 200521 yr One of the best teams on paper, Marlins have gotten off to a queer start. Though no formidable stats, Encarnacion and Castillo seem the only position players ready to go. Benchwise, Easley looks good (getting a break with extra games at 1st), Willingham (2 for 2 yesterday with an RBI), rabbit Aguila (1 for 3 with 2 ribbies yesterday), potent bat Dillon showing competence at 3rd and 1st, and Jorg a big potential sleeper. Pitching development, however, seems well-directed. (Credit Wiley.) The veteran position starters know how to prepare themselves. But, it's time they start showing the fruits of their preparation. Start building the winning attitude. It's not just a Spring Training game. It's baseball.
March 11, 200521 yr plz give them time we're only into 9 st games give them time man.....come on u know when the season starts they'll be playing better.
March 11, 200521 yr They are starting to play better anyway. They will be ready to face the Braves on april 5th. BRAVES :thumbdown MARLINS :respect :marlins
March 11, 200521 yr The important thing is to peak during spring training. It would be great if all our guys full-on hustled to win every game this spring, even if it meant that a few of them got injured and weren't ready to start the highly overrated regular season on the best foot. /sarcasm
March 11, 200521 yr It's no secret we dont have the best minor league system in the majors and it's showing here. Don't worry too much about it.
