July 22, 200322 yr ALTOONA CURVE TO HOST ?AWFUL NIGHT? EVENT TONIGHT The Double-A Eastern League Altoona Curve will host ?Awful Night? during tonight?s 7:05pm ET game against the Akron Aeros at Blair County Ballpark in Altoona, PA. In keeping with the theme, the night will feature several awful events, including a bubble wrap giveaway to the first 2,500 fans in attendance. The team will feature music from William Shatner, The Partridge Family and Milli Vanilli; honor some of the most awful teams in sports history, such as the ?76 Bucs and ?62 Mets; present player batting averages as fail averages ? for example, a player batting .300 will be listed as having a .700 fail average; run in-between inning contests such as ?Bald Guys Race for the Toupee? and ?Dunking for Onions?; and conduct an awful pre-game fireworks display. the minor leagues have some funny a** nights!
