Posted March 30, 200520 yr I was hanging out at the grove with some friends kicking back a few drinks at Barracudas last night. There was a shooting about 5 minutes before I left and the cops thought I was the shooter because I was driving quickly. I get pulled over, surrounded by 4/5 cop cars. They tell me from their speaker to get out of the car and get on the ground so I do (I watch cops, I know what to do!), but I'm a bit confused so I lift my head to ask what's going on and if I can get up and one of them boots me in the back of the head, slams my chin into the street. I was a little tipsy so I didn't want to risk a DUI I didn't say anything but damn! They had guns drawn and everything, they say I was slow to get out of the car...it was crazy. At the end they searched me and my car, apologized and told me of the shooting and let me go.

March 31, 200520 yr Author I'm not complaining. I'm actually glad they let me go without questioning my sobriety...sure they were a bit rough, but hey now I got a story to tell, no? Plus its not like they beat me up, I'd say they handled me "roughly". Of course they didn't apologize once they figured I wasn't armed...they said it was my fault for being slow at coming out of the car (after numerous requests)...I just told them I didn't want them to think I was trying to run away by dashing out of the car right away and that was that.

March 31, 200520 yr unfortunately you or your vehicle fit the description of a possible subject or subject vehicle. The surrounding by 4 to 5 cop cars is called a felony stop. You have to understand that the officers do not know if you are or are not the subject they are looking for, or even might be armed, so they have to take all precautions they can.  Now for the slamming, they do that alot, but if you didnt resist or started acting stupid things couldve been handled slightly different, but not gonna get treated nicely. Like someone else said, you are lucky you didnt get a DUI. Also, you didnt ven get 1/3 of what "Police Brutality" is. PB is usually deliberate.
