Mariners claim Valdez from Mets

SEATTLE -- The Seattle Mariners claimed infielder Wilson Valdez off waivers from the New York Mets.

 

Valdez, 26, spent last season with the Chicago White Sox, playing in 19 games, hitting .233 (10-for-43) with a home run and four RBI.
