Earlier this morning, I read on prosportsdaily.com, that Kerry Wood could be traded. I wanted your opinion on whether or not he would be traded by the Cubs. If you select yes, where do you think he would go and who would the Cubs get in return. Thanks.

They won't trade Kerry Wood, the fans will go bizerk.

Even then, I wonder how much Wood and Prior are damaged goods. Wood has never been the amazing pitcher that he is made out to be, just hyped up by the fact that he plays for the Cubs and that he K'd 20 in a game once. Well, Livan K'd 15 in the playoffs no less, is he a Top Ten pitcher in the game? Plus he's been hurt on and off since returning from TJ, that's never a good sign when you have it very young like he did.

Wood is too wild for my tastes as all it takes to beat him is patience, and he has yet to mature to the point where he doesn't need to strike everyone out or pull back and try to launch fastballs passed people when his other stuff isn't working. However, if he is put on the open market, some stupid team will put up an incredible amount for him, way more than he is worth. For that alone it is worth it to get the news out there that Chicago is listening to offers.

Noway this guy gets traded, guys like Woods dont come around to often.Give this guy time to recover from injuries and he will be great again. Also you have to remeber who runs the team he's on,Baker is known for blowing out arms.

If the Cubs can get something good for him I say they would be wise to unload. Problem is, their organazational depth for pitching isn't nearly what it was a couple years ago, so that could present a problem.
