alright guys a bunch of you helped me by doing a survey on steroids a couple months ago and i wrote a paper on that and then i had to write another one incorporating everything and basically asking and telling why the problem needs to be resolved. so this isn't hte final draft but lemme kno what you guys think

Major League Baseball and its Major League Mess

It?s Game 4 of the World Series. The Steroids are taking on Major League Baseball. The Steroids are on the verge of sweeping the series, taking baseball off life support. Its do or die for Major League Baseball. In order to make a comeback they must win the next four games, and albeit a difficult task, it is possible. Going into the bottom of the 9th with the Steroids leading the game 1-0, Baseball has one more opportunity. The bases are loaded with two outs. There have been many joggles of the lineup and pitching changes yet nothing seemed to get the job done. It is time for Major League Baseball to step up to the plate. But could Major League Baseball really beat Steroids? Steroids? merchandise has been selling at a ridiculous pace. And the numbers don?t lie either. Between two and five percent of all of Major League Baseball has been batting for the other team, even buying replica syringes and hand creams with Jose Canseco?s picture on it. In fact, people dislike them so much their nickname is them the ?Cheaters.? In fact they even take it to the next step. The team mascot similarly to the team merchandise is a giant plastic syringe with Barry Bonds inside it and there?s actually a clear coating of cream on the outside but no one knew what that was. So as we enter the bottom of the ninth, its time for Baseball to take its final at bat, before it has a one ?team? league playing against empty dugouts at empty ballparks.

Leading off the Ninth for Major League Baseball is Mr. All Around Player. He resembles every Joe Schmo in the league that isn?t cheating. Is the typical average baseball player, and he thinks playing against the other team is unfair, because the guys on the Steroids are cheaters and he doesn?t think his team has a fair chance at winning. He draws a walk.

Next up batting for Major League Baseball is Washington Congress. A batter that doesn?t see much playing time, but he felt like he could make a difference in the game. After all, every team could use a crafty veteran. The pitch came and he belted a fly ball to right field, the outfielder caught it and the runner on first tagged up and was now on second base. It wasn?t the ideal result that Congress had hoped to achieve but at least it made the team focus more with a runner in scoring position.

Next to bat is slugger Sammy Sosa. Through his interpreter he stated, ?I would never want to play for that team, and I am going to help my team, the true non-cheating team win.? As he dug into the batters box, the pitch came and he swung at it, missed but hit the catcher?s glove. Because of Catcher?s interference, he was awarded first base. In addition, the umpires gathered together and realized that the catcher?s glove was too big for regulation and he was ejected from the game. The catcher bickered with the umpires saying that his hands won?t fit into any other glove. He was immediately escorted off the field, and would undergo new urine tests to detect the Human Growth Hormone THG.

Taking a look now its still 3-0 in the bottom of the Ninth. Major League Baseball has Joe Schmo on Second Base, and Sammy Sosa on first with one out. The middle infielders are at double play depth, getting ready to turn two to end the game and the glory for Major League Baseball.

Now batting for Major League Baseball is their new Drug Policy. It has yet to encounter any game time experience so we?ll see if the pressure will get to him. As the pitch is coming, The Drug Policy lays down a bunt, advancing the runners to second and third. Not quite getting the job done, but inching Baseball closer and closer.

Baseball is down to its final out. There is no one else to go to bat for them. No pinch hitters, no calls to the bullpen. This next at bat will show what Major League Baseball is made of. This at bat will be one of the most historic at bats in the history of the World Series and the game of Baseball. Coming to the Plate for Major League Baseball is Commissioner Bud Selig and his Crony Donald Fehr from the Major League Baseball Playing Association. Bud Selig was batting from the right side of the plate and Donald Fehr was batting from the right side. Here comes the pitch. It is a hanging curveball, and they both see it. As it edges closer neither of them swing at it as it lands in the new catcher?s mitt. A called strike. The two started arguing over who should have swung. Donald Fehr said he couldn?t swing at it because it wasn?t in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Bud Selig didn?t know about the pitch. Strike One. As the pitcher winds up for the next pitch, the two of them dig in again. This time they both swing and the bats hit each other and the ball goes foul. Strike two. This pitch too springs an argument. Baseball is down to its final strike. Both of them step out of the box, realizing what is going on. As they conference outside the batters box a fan stands up and screams, ?Come on!!! WE NEED THIS.? Hearing the fan, they take longer to gather themselves and the dugout and coaches empty out to speak to the two at the plate. They realize the importance of this next pitch. And no one else can hit it except for them. Will Baseball swing and miss? Or will it ?swing for the fences? and save the game, the series, and baseball?
