i can't believe mlb.com already has that up. this proves (as if we still needed to) that the all-star game is no longer a recognition of who's played the best this season, but is just an excuse for manufacturing hype.

 

what they should REALLY do is have fans vote for the playoffs, that way the cubs can finally break the curse and we can have yanks-sox every year!!!!!!!OMG

Barry Bonds will probably be voted in as a starter too .

Don't get your hopes up for one

 

The only position where we have a face the majority of baseball knows is first base, and Delgado is blocked by Pujols, Helton, and Thome. In fact, everyone is blocked:

 

C- Piazza over Lo Duca

1B- Pujols, Thome, Helton over Delgado

2B- Giles, Vidro over Castillo

SS- Furcal, Eckstein (Card fans always stuff the ballots), Nomar, Izturis now that he won a GG over Gonzalez

3B- Rolen, Jones over Lowell

OF- Walker, Bonds, Beltran, Edmonds, Berkman, Griffey, Dunn, Alou, Roberts (he'll get Red Sox votes, and you know Red Sox Nation is huge), Gonzalez over Cabrera, Pierre, Encarnacion

 

We don't have name power in the right positions.

IMO- I think that the All Star Managers should pick the starters.. Its pretty much based on popularity, not who the better player is.

 

Why is Bonds going to be in the All-Star game (I know he is going to make it) :blink: He is on the DL :headscratch
