If you don't know who he is, you will soon...this guy will soon be one of the best pitchers in baseball

he's 20 years old, tearing it up in AAA...he's even doing better than Felix Hernandez

He may be called up Tuesday when the Giants need a #5 starter...i hope so, I can't wait until he makes his debut...if it's not tuesday, it will be sometime this season

I wouldn't bring him up just yet. Let Jerome Williams come back. If Rueter can't build on his last start and keep improving, then maybe move him to the bullpen and bring Cain up.... But for now, I say leave him in AAA and let him condition a little more.

Next season, we can possibly have a rotation of Schmidt, Cain, Foppert, Lowry, and Williams. That's a good rotation right there.

I would call up Hennessey or Foppert ahead of WIlliams...Hennessey is also doing really well in AAA, and Foppert is pitching decent as well...I say keep Williams in AAA until he gets his s*** together, his mind obviously isn't on baseball right now

look at all these young pitchers we have...Cain, FOppert, Lowry, Williams, Valdez, Hennessey, Correia, Aardsma, etc...

Foppert still needs to learn to throw strikes...at least that is what I have heard.

I can't believe that this guys name was in the Urbina-to-Giants rumors last year. He's the future of the staff.

why do you think the trade fell through even though the giants were desperately needing a closer?

I guess Dombrowski just has a high self esteem when it comes to these trade demands. He's known for getting good deals...I guess the Urbina deal last year wasn't that important to him, or he would have worked a little harder on getting it to work.
