July 26, 200322 yr *C Josh Willingham made his first rehabb appearance in the rookie league and went (3-4, HR) *Before Josh went on the DL he was promoted to Carolina...here are his stats in limited AB's 16AB's, a double, a triple, 3HR, 4BB, 6K...for a grand total of 1.869OPS LOL! I know its few AB's, but I'm very excited about this kid. Hes our catcher of the future for sure. ****Albuquerque AAA**** *They win again and now have sole possession of first place *J Grilli looks like after an adjustment period is putting it together...remember he had been pitching to A ballers for awhile...he went (6.2IP, 6H, 2ER, 1BB, 5K, 0HR) *Rob Stratton did not play *C Matt Treanor hit his 2nd HR in as many games giving him 9HR in 215AB. This guy could backup Castro next season most likely...good plate discipline....not sure on his defensive skills though. *A Levrault pitched a perfect 8th with 1K ***Carolina AA*** *Rainout **Jupiter HighA** *Stokes and Kavourias went hitless and struck out 5 times total **Greensboro LowA** *First off they took on Cole Hamels...who is probably the hottest pitcher in the minors right now..so he pretty much dominated us. *Yorman Bazardo went (6IP, 4H, 0ER, 2BB, 6K, 0HR) his longest start since recovering from injury...but look at what the bullpen did... *Lincoln Holdzkom (2IP, 1H, 0ER, 0BB, 5K) WOW THIS GUY HAS DOMINANT RELIEVER WRITTEN ALL OVER HIM *Casey Blalock (1IP, 0H, 0ER, 0BB, 3K) AWESOME! *so thats 15K's for the game....nice going guys. *Hermida went hitless but still walked.

In most other baseball minds as well Hes 20 I think and 05' seems more realistic because he has Treanor ahead of him right now. A full season in AA next year....and if he does well he could be a September callup depending on our place in the standings at that point.
July 26, 200322 yr Josh Willingham will turn 25 in Feb. He only started catching last year, so he is still learning. He was getting better defensively as the year went on as I saw him play in Jupiter at the beginning of the year and runners were running all over him.
July 26, 200322 yr Holdzkom is 21 years old and playing in low A in Greensboro. He throws a 95mph fastball (thus the many strikeouts) but is still learning to master the breaking pitch. He still has a littlewhile to go before the Marlins can count on him.

July 27, 200322 yr Lincoln Holdzkom....... In 57 innings pitched - he has 74 strikeouts and has only given up 36 hits. He also has given up 27 walks. He is a power picher who needs to develop a good breaking pitch
