May 3, 200521 yr he hit his 5th homer today in a 3-1 loss for the Topes he is now hitting .286 after that slow start
May 3, 200521 yr You know even with that slow start he's already got his OPS up near 1.000. He is such a good hitter, it sucks we can't find a spot for him on the big club.
May 3, 200521 yr c/o baseballamerica.com ? The hottest player in the PCL might be Josh Willingham. The Albuquerque catcher went 2-for-3 last night with a home run and has now homered in three of his last four games. Willingham tried catcher in instructional league in 2002 due to the presence of Miguel Cabrera and Jason Stokes at the infield corners, and while some scouts doubt his ability to stay behind the plate long-term, his bat is certainly impressive. He is hitting .286/.431/.607 overall.
May 3, 200521 yr Author Conine is blocking him. Next season he'll be our Craig Wilson hopefully. 761628 Or starting corner OF

Next season he'll be our Craig Wilson hopefully. 761628 Or starting corner OF 761635 What makes you think Hermida won't be ready? 761637 Im just in the Willingham may be more ready thats all it doesnt matter though because even if Willingham blows up next year, he'll be traded to make room for Hermida 761775 Not neccessarily -- if Willingham proves he's ready to contribute at the MLB level -- it's my belief that managment will move one of Lo Duca or Lowell to make room for him and use the finances saved elsewhere. I'd hate to see either of those two go -- but we can't afford to deal away a good, young, cheap productive player. The only way I can see Willingham dealt away is at this years trade deadline. Hermida is obviously untouchable -- so I assume the names Beinfest will be hearing to put the final touches on our roster are Stokes and/or Willingham.
