Since it's over, it's safe to talk about it now.

 

Derrick Turnbow, the closer of the Milwaukee Brewers, went 10.2 IP (before an Aramis Ramirez hit a two out homer) without allowing a hit. In that time he recorded 13 K, though he was a little wild with 7 BB, and recorded 4 saves in as many chances.

 

Bouncing back from a positive steroid test last year, he throws 96 MPH with ease and can get it up to 98 and 99 with location. If he avoids the long ball (he gave Aramis one in the wheelhouse today), he'll be nothing but lights out.

His stuff is mega sick, I see why the Brew Crew was so eager to unload Kolb this offseason.

 

He should be quite the closer for the Brewers for years to come, unless they trade him too :plain.

I watched him last night in the 9th before he got the win, he doesn't have an overpowering stretch/windup but he holds onto the ball as long as he can so it almost looks like he is closer to the batter than most pitchers as he releases it... and he hits the mid 90s

Mando had 2 hidden no hitters last year I think... Shingo had a hidden perfect game, iirc.
