I feel thats its a shame the Knights Templar had to lose at the battle of Hattin. That turned the tides for the rest of the Crusades. I hate the Crusades didnt succed.

I hope youre not one of those people that engages in convenience when speaking of history. The crusaders where not fighting for righteousness nor were the Muslims who controlled the lands carriers of enlightenment nor were the Romans who first invaded all the lands hence allowing Christianity to spread there in the first place good people. I hate when people try to take history and distort it into a concise view of events. To say that you hate that the crusades "didnt succeed" absolutley makes no sense. What exactly would the world and the history that followed be so much better had the crusades succeeded?

Im not stupid enough think that every single Crusader who marched was a moral man. But the Knights Templar were very strong, upstanding, moral people. And youre stupid if you think every one of the Crusaders were out for money and power. There were obvioulsly both. And I feel that maybe the Palestine area would be a better place if the Crusades had completed their mission. Like it or not thats my thought. And how in the HELL would I or anyone else know what Palestine would be like present day if the Crusaders won?

Because usually when you say you feel that a place would be better if something else happend, there is reason behind it. But if your heart is your guide, what can I say. Feelings..nothing more than feeeeeelings.

Why don't you think about the fact that the crusaders on the way to Palestine, killed, raped, and burned whole shetls of Jews throughout Europe. How dare you call the Crusade righteous. It was just another excuse to kill other people who didn't believe in your religion for "god." Crusade-Jihad. Same exact thing, different religion and a couple of different motives.
