We were ranked #5 last week and now were ranked #7.

The White Sox are still on top of coarse...and the Braves have made their way to the #2 spot.

And the Royals are a lost cause in last.

Here's what they say about us:

Good stat from the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel: Marlins have outscored opponents 75-31 from the sixth inning on.

They could have mentioned how many runs we've allowed any many other things. But of coarse, they can never praise us too much.

Discuss.

Braves are overrated.

Cards are better. Orioles are better. Braves should be #4 at best.

Totally agreed. They even have a better record than the Braves. I'd put the Braves at #4, us at #5, the Dodgers at #6, and the Twins at #7...

I see nothing wrong with what they said about us

It's much better than last time when they said "Only Cardinals starters have given up fewer home runs this season in the NL (Florida seven, St. Louis six)."

But they could have said some better stuff about us. That's all I'm saying.

I agree. That stat they mentioned is one of the best stats a team can have. That means we arent giving up a lot runs late in the game, and we are scoring a lot of runs late in the game. The ability to hold teams and score against teams late win more ball games most of the time.

Personally, I would have either given some great pitching stat that we have...such as our RA, team ERA, the 3 big young guns stats,...etc.

Or I would have said that we've outscored our opponents by more runs than any other team in the majors.

I personally like those better, but what they said about us is suffice.

Ugh, the big 3 stats are played out and don't show the late dominance that we have in the games which is a testament to our young guys going deep into games and the bullpen giving quality performances as well.

Also, learn some English because "...about us is suffice." doesn't really work. Something like, "...about us will suffice." works a bit better.

Came into week boasting the majors' only sub-3.00 staff ERA at 2.78.

I like that.

Also, they have the Braves at #5, which IMO is a lot more accurate.

For the lazy.....

The SportsLine Team Rankings are derived by creating an average of each team's positional players as well as top 5 starters and top 3 relievers. These players' averages are then combined to create the overall ranking. Players are penalized for games missed and pitchers need to meet innings pitched criteria to make the list. The Rankings are updated daily.

We're still #1 in the CBS Sportsline Team Rankings.

And we have a big lead. 164.83-151.87.

But the WhiteSox are ranked #4, that isn't right...

Were ranked #1 there because of our SP(#1) and OF(#2).

Also,

The top 2 ranked pitchers there are on the Marlins!!! Dontrelle=#1, and Josh=#2!

And AJ is #15...

JP's 11th. You're so indolent.

And Encarnacion deserves to be 6th the way he's been playing, and Cabrera is by far the best LF there.

To finish it off for the Marlins:

Paul=5th

Delgado=7th (needs some work, Lee is 1st)

Castillo=10th-I expect more

AGON=22nd :plain

Lowell=18th-when he breaks out of his slump he'll be in the top 5

Perisho=21st

Jones=26th

What we already said:

Cabrera: 1st

JP= 11th

Encarnacion=6th

Dontrelle=1st

Josh=2nd

AJ=15th

And that's it all.
