  1. Waaaaaaah Waaaaaaaah Waaaaaaaaaaaah. just showed this to hubby, who is a Cubs fan. He wasn't amused. But I was. :lol
  2. My link Typical Samson.
  3. I can't believe anyone would be hard up enough to auction this off. But whoever bought it, :notworthy MarlinsRing
  4. No interest shown in Lo Duca: Catcher Paul Lo Duca, released Thursday by Washington, would welcome a return to the Marlins, according to people close to him. But the feeling isn't mutual. The Marlins are desperate for catching help, and they could get Lo Duca, 36, for the minimum because the Nationals are paying him $5 million this year. But he's having such a bad season - .230 with no homers and 12 RBI - that the last-place Nationals gave up on him. And his arm isn't considered as good as when he played for the Marlins in 2004-05. The Nationals tried to move him before Thursday's nonwaiver trading deadline but were unable to make a deal. Lo Duca has said he wants regular playing time. The Marlins are hoping Matt Treanor can return next week from a left hip strain that has kept him out of action since July 8. The Marlins have been using John Baker and Paul Hoover, both of whom started the season at Class AAA Albuquerque. It looks like you can strike Lo Duca from your poll. Thank goodness. PalmBeachPost
  5. I say no. What say you?

One time on Rotoworld they had the following headline "Weather causes Dbacks to scratch Unit" :lol That's hilarious. Who's proof reading this stuff. This one from about a month ago was pretty funny. Uggla's long balls keep streak alive
  7. Well in terms of actually improving to make a run at the division i think that we could all agree that we are going to need a veteran catcher. The front office seems to agree according to the trade rumours.. I just hope this is NOT who we are seriously looking at. Marlins: The Marlins will look to acquire if they continue to be a factor in the NL East. The club wants catching and bullpen help, and Lo Duca is on its radar. Link
  8. My all time fav was Mike Lowell but Luis comes in a very close 2nd.
  9. Let the video load and then click to page 5 of the Jennifer Anniston photos. Linky Not sure how much the Marlins will be shown in the movie but I think thats cool. :notworthy
  10. WASHINGTON -- Before signing a one-year, $5 million deal with the Nationals in the offseason, Nationals catcher Paul Lo Duca had conversations about returning to the Marlins. "We had conversations," Lo Duca said on Sunday. "I had a good time there. Everybody treated me well." The 36-year-old currently is on the disabled list with a fractured bone in his right hand. He's so far appeared in 17 games, and went on the DL with a batting average of .200 in 50 at-bats. He isn't expected back until around the All-Star break. Lo Duca played for the Marlins from 2004-05. The veteran catcher, along with so many other Florida players from the '05 squad, was traded after that season. The Marlins obtained Lo Duca in July of 2004 from the Dodgers in a major deal that sent Brad Penny to Los Angeles. The Marlins sent Lo Duca to the Mets for a couple of prospects, including right-hander Gaby Hernandez, who is at Triple-A Albuquerque. The Marlins offered Lo Duca a couple of million dollars less than what he signed for in Washington. Florida ended up addressing its catcher position when Mike Rabelo was obtained from the Tigers as part of the Dontrelle Willis-Miguel Cabrera trade. Rabelo is splitting Florida's catcher job with Matt Treanor. LoDuca I hate that guy with a passion.

I think he has done an amazing job thus far managing the fish. If the team does this well at the end of the season, :pray He might just be canidate for MOY. And he doesn't even have Cabrera or Willis. I had my doubts about him last year and frankly did not like him at all. Ive changed my mind. We women are allowed to do that. On another note, very happy to be able to see as many games as I have considering I am smack in the middle of Rays territory.
  12. It could also depend on if some are signed to long term deals. Maybe some crafty paying schedule will allow us to keep an extra guy or two. I'm hopeful payroll will be around 35-40 mil next year. Looking at the 3 year trend our payroll was 14,30,21. Hopefully the rebound will occur again. I think the securing of future revenue helps, plus Delgado goes off the books next year, freeing up another 4 mil. Mutts must really be hating the Delgado trade right about now.
  13. Has anyone seen this one before? Found the link here. Lyon Smith
