May 19, 200521 yr the only reason am broken hearted is because there wont be anymore movies. but i was really happy to see that Jar Jar only had a 2 second part in the movie.
May 19, 200521 yr Author I had to come out of semi-retirement to save as many friends as possible. I wasted 7 hours of my life waiting in line only to witness the destruction of the Star Wars Empire. In the beginning: I wanted to love this movie. I wanted the prequels to be cool. I wanted to be pulled in by the Dark Side. In the end: I wanted to puke. I wanted to punch Hayden Christiensen. I wanted to slap George Lucas in the head! Anakin Skywalker is almost as annoying as Jar Jar Binks and as believable as the Easter Bunny. Save your money and watch it on HBO.
May 19, 200521 yr it wasn't as awful as the first two, but it was still pretty weak the original trilogy had its flaws (especially the acting), but they were still great movies
May 19, 200521 yr it wasn't that bad, the story had to be told. i have been a die hard star wars fan since i was like 5 years old and am glad he made I, II, and III, were they what we expected no, but am still glad Lucas went ahead and made them

What kind of society have we become? When a movie like this gets any rave reviews, I guess its just about video game antics on the big screen. The entire movie had the feel of a great story rushed, just to get to action scenes. The subtlety of the seduction of Annakin Skywalker is lost because, Lucas panders to the the action hungry youth of today's demands to see ridiculous light sabre fights with mechanical creatures with 4 arms, or some annoyingly dragged out scene of a burning body crawling on volcanic rock. This movie could have been a classic...instead it is just crap. This movie could have been so much better...The plot was there to make Annakin Skywalker/Darth Vader one of the most tragic heros of all time...Instead, we get some watered down version of the seduction of the dark side of the force, all in the name of putting more fight scenes on the screen. Lucas has "jumped the shark"...the dialog is non-existent, except for the one or two great lines that Senator Palpatine delivers, which only hints at the true seduction of the dark side of the force. The movie just comes so close, then misses the mark. Just when it is getting interesting, in how the Senator is plotting to rule the entire galaxy, and needs a new apprentice...just when you see Annakin supposedly in turmoil, there is a quick cut to Yoda leading a wookie and clone army against some droids....puhleeez....this movie could have been great...instead, it is just more garbage.... When the Senator reveals himself as the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, it lacks the tension that the scene requires...And Annakin Skywalker becoming a Sith Apprentice is just rushed...You never get the true understanding of any real inner turmoil in Skywalker...the movie just misses...it is so frustrating. Sad, sad, sad...
