May 30, 200521 yr Offer them Enc, Stokes, Willingham and a lower level pitching prospect for Dunn. 787866 Offer it yes, and then watch us laugh in your face. The last thing we need is another OF and 3B.
May 30, 200521 yr i can see Ortiz going i havent really been that impressed with his stuff so far this season other than that i think that the field is great its just that they havent been able to get it going the bullpen seems to be really blowing the games out so i can see the bullpen getting replaced (with the exception of Wagner) the outfield is stacked Dunn, Griffey, Kearns (with Cruz, Pena, Freel to back them up) infield is great Randa, Lopez, Freel, Casey (Aurilla, Dunn, Bergolla to back them up) catchers LaRue and Valentin are solid defensively BRING BACK ACEVEDO!!! 788485 Slow down. The outfield is great, but Pena when healthy will start over Kearns. Infield is not great Lopez is great Freel is good, Randa is decent, and Casey has no where to bat in the lineup. He as a .300 hitter which is great, but he is average at best power no speed, average defense and grounds into way to many DP's. He is a leadoff hitter trapped in a sluggers body. Auriila blows and Bergolla is in AAA. Our starting pitching is actually manageable. Harang as been great this year. With the exception of 2 starts Ortiz has been solid, Claussen has been solid, and Ramirez looks like he could be good in the future. LaRure and Valentin are solid defensively is a stretch, and neither of them can hit. Our pen blows with the exception of Merker. What we need to do is trade Dunn for bullpen help, a young starter and a solid bench guy. No way we trade for a 3B becuase we have J. Enc brother Edwin in the minors who is out future 3B. By the way Jose Acevado sucks!
May 30, 200521 yr wow...they're willing to trade ANYONE? Why would they trade Willy Mo Pena, Freel, Lopez, Casey,...etc?!?! Anyways, I think Olney was going a little to far when he said they're willing to trade ANYONE. And anyways, they're not doing THAT bad considering they have a better record than 5 teams... But they're almost already out of it...they won't be able to make up 13.5 games on the Cardinals...so they have no shot anyways. 787771 Anyone means anyone. You can't hold out on a deal that will improve the organization in the long run. You have to put everyone on the trading block when you're in as bad a shape as the Reds are pitching wise. BTW last time I checked when you're only better than 5 other teams that means you suck big time.
May 30, 200521 yr Offer them Enc, Stokes, Willingham and a lower level pitching prospect for Dunn. 787866 Dunn is my favorite player in baseball and there's still no way in Hell I'd do that trade. 787969 Why not? Stokes and Willingham will never play here unless we trade Lowell. Enc had a good start but we all know his offense is weak at best and he'll be gone after this year. I'm not saying Vargas/Tank as the pitching prospect, I mean some other lower level guy. I'd do the deal in a second if we think we can afford Dunn's arbitration numbers. He is a solid defender and can hit about 50 bombs a year. 1. Pierre 2. Castillo 3. Delgado 4. Cabrera 5. Dunn 6. Lo Duca 7. Lowell 8. Gonzo I like that line up in the playoffs. :thumbup 788391 why the hell would the Reds want Encarnacion?
