Would Beinfest go out and get a LF? Unless Rondell White comes at a low price, same goes for any other LFer, I don't want them. Cabs is looking amazing. We would have been shut-out tonight if it wasn't for him. And on top of the fact at this point I would rather them not deal for a LFer, the might give up our future at catcher to do so! You do have to think about now, for obvious reasons, but Castro is going to give you some big production next year (you can tell) and for a low price. Deal Redmond if you're going to deal a catcher, but I don't want to see him gone either. Minors leaguers or nothing I say.

As for the bullpen, can you argue that we don't need another arm? NO. We do, and that's inevitable. Your starter isn't going to go 7 IP every outing like Red did to set-up the appearences of Urbina and Looper, so you're going to need another reliable arm. Scott Sullivan seems to be the ONLY reliever rumored to Florida within the past week, and Gammons says he will probably be here, and soon. Good news to hear.

What is your infatuation with acquiring White and then SITTING him!? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. If you're going to go out and get an OFer to sit on the bench, make it Stairs or Vander Wal. Not someone that will come at the cost of your teams future at catcher...

so give up our future catcher for a player that will be on the bench?? I like the idea of getting another OF as insurance for Cabrera, but not at the cost of our future catcher. I say go after another OF/1B that won't cost such an important prospect, but could provide insurance for both Cabrera and Lee, if his injury proves to be more than it seems. Maybe someone like Stairs, any other suggestions??

So does Andy Fox. So does Todd Hollandsworth. We don't even need another bat for the bench.

Another power bat would not hurt. But its not neccesary, therefore if it can't come real cheap don't go after another bat. Stick with going out and getting more relief pitching... you can never have enough pitching.

you can never have enough pitching.

Especially when you don't even have that much (in the pen). We have tons of depth in our pen, which is filled with a lot of above average talent, but our only established impact relievers are Looper and Urbina. We need one more. Sullivan isn't a big acquisition, but another very solid arm for the pen.

We'd pay about $1.0 to 1.2 Million of his salary for the remainder.

And those stats are very impressive...
