Hey guys it sucks right about now doesn't it? Man I almost had a meltdown today. The sloppy fielding, pitching, and anti-clutch hitting really has to stop. Anyways what happened to Mota? Last I heard he was doing great and he was ready to go and he never gets in the game.

 

Mecir can be our 6-7 guy, Mota our 8th, and Jones our closer. Bump has been much better this year and he can be our long relief. Why are we playing these other stiffs. Like Reidling , Perisho, etc, when we have Mota, Mecir and Jones in the Pen. I don't get it????

 

I know it goes without saying but we need to play better. If this team just plays good we can win a lot of games. We've just been playing like absolute crap! Put Lowell back in and stop with the BS already. As much as I like Easley he's a tragedy waiting to happen in the field. He gives us 2 runs but takes away 2 runs. He always seems to make errors in crucial situations too. ( Love his bat though)

Put Jp back in center and platoon Enc/Conine in right. Everything else is a reach and shows we're in a panic. These are World Series Champions we are talking about (not scrubs)! Put them where they belong and lets start winning some games! I'm out..

ps. the good news....its only June 5th...revenge is a dish better served cold. We will be waiting when the Nats come back again and that jerk Patterson better be rung up by one of our guys. I noticed how he left the game right after he nailed our best player. I'm kinda dissapointed that Burnett didn't throw something high and tight at least. I know it was a mistake but you have to show them that that kind of mistake is not tolerable. Put a little fear into their pitchers when they have to come inside.

Not sure if you are aware, but Mota recently came off the DL. He will be fine, just needs a few more appearances under his belt.

Mota didn't have much control with his fastball last night, and gave up only 1-2 hard hit balls on his other stuff.

Sorry I didn't see the other Mota thread and I guess I missed that he pitched last night...I was at a party!!! I still can't believe they brought in Reidling over Mota today, what a joke. Jack pisses me off sometimes...I know he wants to prove his point but at the cost of wins??? ( Why is Perisho still in the Majors?)

We are using Perisho because he is our lefty specialist but right now he isnt getting no lefties out.

Good point on Easley making errors and giving runs back. But today's error at 3b was his first error the whole season at 3b, and he has yet to make an error this season at SS. He usually screws up when he plays 2b where he has 4 errors already.

 

Anyways, all 5 of his errors this year have been very costly. It seems to me like he's had a lot more errors this year, and everytime a ball gets hit to hit I cross my fingers that he won't mess up.

 

A decrease in defense however is something that we know we'll get when we put Easley in there for Lowell, Gonzalez, or Castillo. You can't blame him so much. You should really praise him for being better at the plate and scoring more runs.

 

However, Gonzalez, and Castillo have been hitting. Lowell is the only on there who hasn't been hitting this year. So I feel that Easley should play 3b and not SS or 2b, unless we give Castillo or Gonzalez a day off.
