What does it take?...

Willy's been with the big club before and didn't come close to replicating his huge minor league numbers. Now, while I feel Willy's plate discipline and ability to adapt is what this offense is lacking, the Marlins may view Willy as nothing more than a chip and they'd rather see him thrive at AAA instead of be average in the majors. If he's called up and struggles, his trade value is nil, but if he's called up and tears it up, it creates a headache for the F.O. because Pierre and Lowell are making too much money to sit, and unfortunately, they're both fan faves.

So, for everyone expecting Willingham to save the team, I think you may have to keep waiting...

His numbers have steadily increased every year and at every level.

Also, I read an article last week saying most of his home runs have come on the road.

Although Albuquerque has always been know as a home run haven, Willingham said the majority of his home runs have come on the road.

"I went through a phase on the road where every time I hit the ball hard it seemed to get in the air and go out," he said. "I've had two phases where I hit a home run three or four games in a row.

Seriously, I am sick of seeing Encarnacion's lack of plate discipline. He sure looked good in the first month but its been downhill from there.

Willingham has a bad back to go with his declining BA, having lost nearly 40 points in the last week. Got scratched the other night, Jorgy played.
