KNIGHT-RIDDER/TRIBUNE

CHICAGO - The world already knows Carl Everett believes dinosaurs never roamed the planet. After all, there's no mention of them in the Bible.

But the Chicago White Sox's designated hitter unleashes a swarm of new opinions in the July issue of Maxim magazine. The highlights: Wrigley Field is the worst park in the majors: "They need to implode Wrigley." Jose Canseco is a "bitter, ignorant individual." The congressional hearings examining steroid use were a waste: "We have a war going on - I have family in that war - yet we're talking about steroids. . . . If everybody in the world got on steroids, we'll still lose more kids to a war than we will from steroids." Everett has had gay teammates, whom he has accepted, but: "Gays being gay is wrong. Two women can't produce a baby, two men can't produce a baby, so it's not how it's supposed to be. . . . I don't believe in gay marriages. I don't believe in being gay."

were did he bash them, all i read is that he doesn't think it's right which i happen to agree with him 100%

He said he opposed the gay lifestyle, that doesn't make him a bigot. If you assume Carl is a Christian, he theoretically should be against gay marriage, but in our PC world, it makes him "intolerant" and a "bigot."

To him it's 100% wrong to be gay because you can't produce a baby but having sex with a woman for just pleasure isn't wrong?

Exactly. Very well said. :thumbup

Dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible

Job 40:15-24

15 ? Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.

16 Lo now, his strength [is] in his loins, and his force [is] in the navel of his belly.

17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.

18 His bones [are as] strong pieces of brass; his bones [are] like bars of iron.

19 He [is] the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his

sword to approach [unto him].

20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.

21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.

22 The shady trees cover him [with] their shadow; the willows of the brook

compass him about.

23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, [and] hasteth not: he trusteth that he

can draw up Jordan into his mouth.

24 He taketh it with his eyes: [his] nose pierceth through snares.

He didn't sound offensive to me....I also think being gay is wrong

Carl really shouldn't talk, it only leads to bad things.

As long as the White Sox Continue to Show Dominance, I don't care if Carl Everett claims to be the son of Zeus.

Carl has a reason to talk hes tearing it up this season :lol

the guy's got a right to his opinions. 'acceptance' or 'tolerance' doesn't mean you think someone else's beliefs or lifestyles are right or actively agreeing with, it just means not imposing your beliefs upon them.

The congressional hearings examining steroid use were a waste: "We have a war going on - I have family in that war - yet we're talking about steroids. being gay." 810626[/snapback]

Well said Carl, well said...

The dinosaur thing he said made me laugh. The thought of people hundreds of years ago making dinosaur bones and planting them in the ground and somehow aging them so through carbon-14 dating they appear to be 65 million or more years old is just humorous.
