Lane1974
I am sure its something they are reluctant to do, but with this lack of offense, something big has to be done... if they get swept by the Braves and don't destroy the D-Rays, he might not get past this weekend... what do you guys think? Would Grady Little be the natural replacement, as an opposite to the mean gruff old guy?
Fishin2004
i don't know who they would get to replace him, but they gotta get rid of him right away. i feel bad for him, i don't think it's his fault, but this team has too much talent to be 6 games back at this point. as we saw in 2003, a new manager can have a refreshing effect on a struggling team, and what Pierre and Lowell and Mota need more than anything right now is to wipe the slate clean. Marlins
The hitting coach Bill Robinson will be fired first if he ever gets fired, and remember the statement made before saying that Robinson won't get fired?...I know he should be fired with what hes been doing lately, but I don't think it's going to get done, sadly. Fire Bill Robinson.
Accord
doesnt matter, you can't fire the players, sometimes a change needs to be made just to be made... Jack and Robinson go together. 821547 You're right, you can't fire players. But you can trade them. 821561 The root of ALL our problems in the inability of the front office to do ANYTHING. They haven't fired anyone, they haven't traded anyone, all they ever do is call up AAAA players to get knocked around.
JJ24
how is 23 scorless innings Jacks Fault?
Lane1974
its definitely not Jack's fault (nor is it Robinson's - sorry you Robinson haters, he can't make people put the bat on the ball with runners in scoring position - nor will a new hitting coach come in and tell Pierre "hey, do THIS" and boom his OPB is back to normal - he's been a hitting coach for like 20 years, its not like he forgot how to teach hitting) but this is what happens in baseball, players need to get shook up, and a new manager is the way to do it. The Folklegend
It's their fault because it's their job. Period. Robinson said as much in an interview with Sports Weekly two weeks ago. The offense is his responsibility.
eadearmas
[...]and what Pierre and Lowell and Mota need more than anything right now is to wipe the slate clean. 821490 What Pierre and Lowell and Mota need to do, and all the rest of the team for that matter, is to start acting like f... baseball players and stop whining about the old-fashioned ways of the manager. The manager doesn't win games, dammit!!!! THE TEAM DOES!!! :banghead
Guest Jack1
How about replacing Jack with Tony Perez? Just a thought.

The root of all our problems is the inability of our players to do ANYTHING. What do you want the FO to do? Is there a pixy-dust to magically reverse the fact that your hitters suck? eadearmas
How about replacing Jack with Tony Perez? Just a thought. 821743 did that already. that experiment failed miserably... and stop asking for the manager's head... is not the manager's fault.
