August 3, 200323 yr all i know is Alex had been slumping for 1 and a half months and he wasnt benched he barely got a day off, if its wrong or right i dont expect to see Juan on the bench.
August 3, 200323 yr Speaking of splitfingers, Tommy and Len said Looper is developing a split, and has been using it sparingly for a month now...
August 3, 200323 yr sorry but we are talking about knuckleballs not splitters but that is good for Loop i remember whn some guy named Clemens started working on a split...

August 3, 200323 yr i was just wondering, has there ever been a lefthanded knuckleballer? probably not but that would be weird.
August 3, 200323 yr i was just wondering, has there ever been a lefthanded knuckleballer? probably not but that would be weird. I have never seen one in my life, at any level. And I disagree on the 8th spot thing, Sea Bass blows offensively. Always has, always will. Lets bat Cabs 5th today again, just for kicks. Move Encarnacion to 7th for just the day and see if we can get a little bit more run support out of him there. Just for today.

August 3, 200323 yr The question is: is SeaBass the best 8th hitter....I mean 8th hitters arent known for hitting 50 HRs, and 120 RBIs. And he hasnt always blown offensively. He had a great 1st half, and had a long slump. Looks like he is bouncing out of it (even before the HR). He was an All Star ya know.
August 3, 200323 yr BiG Tigger (no one can deny that Juan Enc doesnt look just like him) :lol I never could put a finger on who he looked like, but that is it! He does look like Tigger.

Alex Gonzalez can be considered one of the best 8th spot hitters in the league, easy...

I don't know, when certain pitchers are starting (Penny perhaps) I would hit the pitcher 8th and Gonzalez ninth, for a fun twist to the lineup. That way we might have a better inning if Alex gets on to let Juanpy and Luiy come up with some RBI chances. And then Seabass would for sure be the best ninth hitter in the NL
August 3, 200323 yr he's hitting the ball hard... let it be he will snapout of it..... soon... hopefully of the knuckler tomorrow he hits knuckle ball pitchers good.. so lets hope he hits him good.. can i see a link to how yo uknow this? i would like to see who else does well Ramp, you are getting a little too big for your britches.
