July 25, 200521 yr This series is crucial, who do you think we benefit from winning this series. I personally would love to see the nats sweep, then play them in the next series. I think the nats are the weaker of the two and a sweep would only hold off the inevitable sinking of the nats.

Nothing against them, they give us trouble, but to truly stay in the race we need to start winning games at home. Especially against teams we should beat.

July 25, 200521 yr I'm not a superstitious person and but the Marlins of 2004-05 can make one so. Time after time, the Marlins have a habit of making teams that are on a slide or in a funk wake up against them, and beat them 2-1, or 3-1. Therefore I want the Nationals to wake up and take 2 of 3 from ATL rather than the Fish. Of course, we need to take care of business against the Pirates. My heart says 3-game sweep but my head says 2 of 3.
July 25, 200521 yr I'd also rather the see the Nats win... they are more flukey then anything now. I mean Atlanta has been winning this division for so long that they need to be the ones we always root against. Boo Atlanta! Go Nationals!
July 25, 200521 yr As long as there isn't a sweep, and assuming we don't lose the series against the Pirates, we're in a win-win because two teams we're chasing beat up on each other. Really, as long as we keep winning, and as long as there isn't a sweep, this is a great chance to make up ground in both the division and W.C.
