August 22, 200520 yr I was offered the following trade I would recieve: P. Manning (Ind - QB) 740.73 N. Burleson (Min - WR) 194.14 I would have to give up for them: M. Bulger (StL - QB) 550.19 (I think a down year for him too) D. McAllister (NO - RB) 164.00 (had a down year should be better) D. Givens (NE - WR) 122.00 It is a swing league with passer heavy points as you see. You can play 2 RB, two WR and one WR/RB. Right now I have RB Shaun Alexander RB D Davis WR L. Coles WR J Walker WR/RB McAllister On my bench I do have the following: L Johnson of KC (if holmes goes down becomes a top 5 fantasy back) F Talyor Jacksonville( If Healthy could be useful) Givens WR of NE (dont trust brady with his recievers) Backup QB is Brooks. Suggestions all? I think I have a dangerous and locked team already, but adding Manning to a team with Alexander and Davis? That could be amazingly sick. I would toss either Taylor or Burelson into the last open slot.
August 22, 200520 yr wow tough call but if i were in your shoes i would make the deal since you said it is a passer heavy league...no better fantasy league quarterback than peyton manning and adding burleson, who will be minnesota's go-to-guy this year sans Randy Moss, is only an added bonus, ur stacked at RB so Deuce is expendable
September 4, 200520 yr Pull the Trigger! Manning is guarenteed 40 TD and 4500 yards. Yeah, you're weakening your utility position slightly, but you are surely upgrading at both WR and big time at QB. Having LJ and FT on your bench are fabulous luxuries. Once PH goes down [probably week 3 or 4] you will look like a stud.
