Well, it wasn't you. It was the guy who started this thread. That's who I was responding to. It's right there at the top of this thread. true.

 

They didnt start rap metal, and the thread creator is wrong.

 

But Linkin Park and Papa Roach are both still pretty good.

Although both groups are pretty good, I prefer LP easily over Papa Roach (even though I've seen them live in concert). Almost all of Papa Roach's songs are about hate and constant anger and screaming, while LP mixes it up a bit and has much better beats and flow.

It's not silly at all. You said they "started Rap Metal", and neither one of those bands came close to starting the genre. There were much better bands that were around 8 - 12 years ago that had a whole lot more to do with starting rap metal than Linkin Park or Papa Roach ever did. Saying Linkin Park and Papa Roach started Rap Metal is like saying Puff Daddy and Mase started rap and Poison and Warrant started metal.

As I said. They both suck. I guess if I had to pick, I'd go with Linkin Park, because I actually like a song by them. Both of them are still weak, whiny nu-metal pu$$y bands.
