Same with Vargas last night. Our 4 and 5 starters are keeping us in the game. Too bad the offense is not alive as of late and the bull pen is continuing to give up games.
September 17, 200520 yr Nice effort by Moehler. Treanor was calling way too many waste pitches and ran up his pitch count. Clearly we really needed him to go 7 tonight, but it wasn't to be.
September 17, 200520 yr Any time we bring in the pen in the 6th inning it's almost a lock they'll give up 2+ runs. So to keep us in the game the end of the rotation guys have gotta go a little deeper.
