September 29, 200521 yr At this point it would be hard to guess what the team will look like for next year. A lot of questions need to be answered to form a firm opinion of next years team. Is there going to a mangaer change? It was widely assumed that there would be but now that's changed somewhat. I would think that Delgado will be around next season, if traded it would send the wrong message to the fans about where this team is headed. Decisions have to be made on Alex, Juan P, Juan E., etc.... If it were up to me I would let JP go and start Enc in CF, play Niner in LF and Hermida in RF. That would also have the Marlins move Lowell so Cabs can play 3B. Wow my head hurts thinking about the changes, aanyway I think this will still be a competitive team next year.
September 29, 200521 yr I'll give it a go.... 2B - Castillo LF - Conine/Aguila 3B - Cabrera 1B - Delgado C - Duca RF - Hermida CF - Pierre SS - Andino P Enc and Gonzo are gone. The wild-card in this is Lowell, if he stays and plays the Cabrera is moved to leftfield, the Conine probably platoons with Hermida. I would also like to see Willingham get some games in at catcher much like Treanor did this season. "Ace" - Willis 2 - Beckett 3 - Vargas 4 - FA/Valdez 5 - Olsen/Johnson If Moehler comes back he'll most likely contend for the 4 or 5 spot I think this line-up has alot of potential...of coarse so did this years and look what happened.
