September 30, 200521 yr Buffalo at New Orleans 1:00 p.m. Oh boy, here's a barnburner. New Orleans has winning potential and home-field advantage. Buffalo can't beat anybody better than Houston. Look for the outcome to be determined by which RB gets more yardage. I'm taking the SAINTS over the Bills, 20-10 Denver at Jacksonville 1:00 p.m. Denver was profoundly impressive on Monday night, but don't get too excited. They were racking up points on a less than average Kansas City defense, and the homefield advantage at Invesco is something too many overlook. Champ Bailey isn't a sure thing, so it's a tough game to call, however, look for Jacksonville's defense to hold Denver down enough for Byron Leftwich to get the win in Jacksonville. I'm taking the JAGUARS over the Broncos in an ugly one, 17-13 Detroit at Tampa Bay 1:00 p.m. Detroit is coming off of a bye, so it's tough to gauge these guys yet. However, if they got blown out by the Bears on the road, something tells me the resurgent Bucs won't be much of a picnic. If the Lions can stop prodigy Carnell Williams, they'll have a shot, but I can't see it happening. I'm taking the BUCCANEERS over the Lions, bringing them to 4-0, 27-10 Houston at Cincinnati 1:00 p.m. Speaking of resurgency, the Bengals deserve a tip of the hat and more. This is the lock of the week by far. Look more than one defensive TD out of the Bengals secondary and linebacker corps. Look for more a TD toss or two from Carson Palmer. BENGALS win easily over the Texans, 31-6 Indianapolis at Tennessee 1:00 p.m. Jeff Fisher's Titans are better this year, just like I thought they'd be. They'll be tough at home this year, but not too tough for Indianapolis. Peyton Manning should return to his record breaking form this week against a very mediocre Tennessee secondary. COLTS over Titans, 27-14 San Diego at New England 1:00 p.m. San Diego flexed some serious muscle on Sunday night, and they'll put up a fight against New England. I've learned only one thing in the last year, and that's not to pick against the Pats, no matter how much of a hunch you have. Therefore I'm taking the PATRIOTS over the Chargers in a close one, 28-23. Seattle at Washington 1:00 p.m. Washington is coming off of a bye and two very close wins - Seattle will prove to be a big challenge. The 'Skins defense will force the Seahawks to resort to the passing game early on Sunday, which will be the difference. Look for Shawn Springs to enjoy a victory against his old team on Sunday as the REDSKINSD wins another game for them, 17-13 St. Louis at N.Y. Giants 1:00 p.m. This is one of the toughest games to call this week, but I like Tom Coughlin's Giants at home over the sporadic Rams and Mike Martz. If they can't put San Fransisco away in their house, they won't get past the Giants. NY GIANTS over the Rams, 28-17 N.Y. Jets at Baltimore 4:05 p.m. Baltimore's got to win sooner or later, and since they're at home against a N.Y. Jets team with injury problems, this is the week. What's better, Kyle Boller won't be at the helm. Jamal Lewis carries the RAVENS over the Jets, 17-13 Dallas at Oakland 4:15 p.m. Oakland is too good to go 0-4, and they won't. Dallas can't win every shootout they get in, and this is going to be a shootout. I'm taking Kerry Collins and his recieving corps over Dallas' weak secondary and Drew Bledsoe's happy feet. RAIDERS over Cowboys, 33-25 (don't ask me how I got those numbers) Minnesota at Atlanta 4:15 p.m. Here's a good one, and I mean a real good one. Only good in the sense that you have no idea who will win, but it will be painfully obvious within 5 minutes of kickoff. If Daunte throws 1 or 0 interceptions and 2+ touchdowns, the Vikings win. However, I think the Falcons will be too tough at home, just like they were for Philadelphia. FALCONS over Vikings, 20-17 Philadelphia at Kansas City 4:15 p.m. KC can gun it in the endzone. Philly can gun it in the endzone. KC can't make defensive stops. Philly can make defensive touchdowns. EAGLES over Chiefs, 27-17 San Francisco at Arizona 8:30 p.m. Man, this is going to be the best Sunday night game of all time. San Fran will extend their win streak over Arizona here, especially since Arizona doesn't have Kurt Warner (does that hurt all that bad). San Francisco will win the first NFL game in Mexico. 49ERS over the Cardinals, 31-16 Green Bay at Carolina 9:00 p.m. There is no reason, and I mean no reason, to think that Carolina will lose this one. PANTHERS over Packers, 28-17
September 30, 200521 yr Pretty good all the way around although Im nto a fan of your Indy-Tenn. score. This is the game Indy busts out and puts up around 50. Peyton is going to be the Monster to Tennessee's Pac Man.
September 30, 200521 yr Next week is the one I'm worried about. Cincy at Jacksonville. The Bengals first real test both defensively and offensively.
