August 17, 200322 yr Let's hope that the Cardinals can stop from being swept and give us the upper hand in the playoff hunt...
August 17, 200322 yr Author Isn't some guy making his season debut with the Phillies? They're toast...
August 17, 200322 yr vs -- Brett Tomko(9-7, 4.56) against Amaury Telemaco(0-0,0.00) On television: Marlins station: ESPN
August 17, 200322 yr Author Telemaco has a stiff neck, so he may not be in top shape. :w00t :whistle :shifty
August 17, 200322 yr Well this is gonna be good because it is real hard for the cards to get sweeped so i really think the cards will explode and woop philadelphia!and when the game is over ours truly the marlins will be wildcard leaders!
August 17, 200322 yr It's obvious none of you have seen Tele pitch this year in AAA. His biggest problem in the majors was not his skill but injuries and I don't know where this "stiff neck" comes from. Of course Josh being The Arrogant kid that he is automatically assumes that this guy is bad because he played in AAA. It's also obvious Josh has never seen him pitch this year. This guy has been lights out and has an awesome array of pitches. This guy will put up a strong showing tonight and shut up Josh. Oh wait nothing can do that :mischief
August 17, 200322 yr Author This guy will put up a strong showing tonight and shut up Josh. Oh wait nothing can do that :mischief Damn straight. :lol But seriously, what are the chances of him beating the Cardinals line-up his first time on the big league mound this year?

August 17, 200322 yr Damn straight. :lol But seriously, what are the chances of him beating the Cardinals line-up his first time on the big league mound this year? I have a feeling about him... He is basically pain free despite what some say. He has been amazing in AAA, I've seen him warm up in the pen before a few games here in Scranton(The Phillies AAA home), he is a worker as well. Plus we have Super Joe who can do wonders for a pitcher. I have a strong feeling about this guy, From what I've seen in him and what my gut instinct is telling me.
August 17, 200322 yr Yup, those stats make me speachless Rune... A. The Barons are not playing so hot B. Check most of The Stats in The Int League, he is at the top of most stat lists. C. Marc Bombard a guy who knows talent was called by Bowa and asked who is the best right now. Ryan Madson, Handcock(Aquired from The RSox this off season), and Tele. He said Tele and Bombard is a guy who knows talent when he see's it.

A. the barons are 8-2 their last 10 games and overall are in 2nd in their division at 9 games over .500 B.your right he's is in the top of the league..maybe top 10 , but i see some better pitchers in the league , Shane Loux ,Arroyo Bronson, Jason Stanford, Nathan Robertson and Carlos Reyes.
August 17, 200322 yr If telemaco doesn't have a stiff neck my bad, just reporting what it says on the sportsline preview of the game courtesy of sportsline.com Righthander Amaury Telemaco will be recalled from Triple-A Scranton Wilkes- Barre to start tonight for the Phillies. He takes the place of a struggling Brandon Duckworth, who was demoted to the minors earlier this week. However, Telemaco has a stiff neck and he may not be in top shape for this game. http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/gamecenter/p...0030817_STL@PHI

The Barons are always hot late but most of those losses do come from their horrible start in the season in which they had as much run support as The Dodgers. Most of it coming from my boy Utley. Telemaco has improved vastly from when you last saw him in 01. I have seen him pitch a few starts and I don't know what it is but he really has improved since being sent down. He will be a quick fix to see if Duck can regain himself also if Tele fails, The Phils have two other solid starters in the wing ready. I have trusted Bombard before and he usually comes through and I belive he's telling the truth now. Tele will have a solid start.

He does have a history of injuries so yes you could be right but I have not seen where this stiff neck comes from.
August 17, 200322 yr Author Nathan Robertson Where have I heard that name before? Is he the rookie on the Astros?
August 17, 200322 yr Where have I heard that name before? Is he the rookie on the Astros? he's in the international league on the Toledo Mud Hens he might've spent some time in the ML's but he's in AAA now
