Marvin Lewis is the best coach ever...

Featured Replies

Yes, he's a master motivator. Yes, he knows his X's and O's.

But he's also responsible for this:

BOOTSY COLLINS AND THE BIGG KATS (Ben Wilkerson, Hannibal Navies and Duane Clemons) PRESENT:

FEAR DA' TIGERS

They released a Bengals rap song. It is, in a few words, SO AWESOMELY BAD. I mean, scrub Bengals rapping? Awesome. And it's just so bad, it may be good. And each version gets better and better (and is slightly different enough to warrant listening).

I've listened to that ish a few times and it still makes me laugh. That and it's the fourth Bengals song ever made ("Bengals Fight Song," "Ya'll can't beat them Bengals," an unnamed "Who Dey" rap song only played during home games, occasionally, and now, Fear Da' Tigers).

Beat a good team, then talk.

Dude.

Where is it mentioned in his post that the Bengals are better than anybody?

I was refering to the fact of him calling Marvin Lewis the best coach ever. Nice try though.

blah, blah, blah.

Records of teams Bengals have beaten: 3-5, 3-5, 5-3, 1-7, 3-6, 1-7. Records of teams they play the rest of the way: 2-6, 7-0, 2-6, 6-2, 2-5, 3-5, 3-5, 5-3.

Here are the Steelers opponents record. 2-7, 1-7, 5-4, 2-6, and 7-2. The 7-2 win shouldn't count because of how horrible the Bengals  are. Here's another one. Everyones darling the unstoppable Colts opponents.

2-6,5-3,2-6,2-6,3-5,5-4,1-6.

The schedule B.S. is just that, BS.

More important for me is too see Palmers progress, Bres's first year D leading in takeaways and INT's, and that Tab Perry has taken a spot among the most consistent KR in the game. Hoing in on our opponents records is about as arbitrary as can be. TB, Indy, Pitt all have had piece of cake schedules.

The flip-side is that teams who actually have the hard schedules, dont get credit for that, Like SD, PHI, JAX, DAL.

Beat a good team, then talk.

Talk about the Steelers and make excuses, but in your two biggest games to date, you came up empty.

Who cares about his opinion. I never said we were better than the Steelers. And by Best Coach Ever I did mean it. He turned our crappy franchise around. You can only play the schedule you're given. And to this point I don't expect to do anything more than make the playoffs and lose in the first round.

Next year, I expect big things. It's not like I've given up on this year or anything, but people like The Fan are always going to hate regardless. Why waste your time. He didn't even click that link. He just saw a Buckeye post and something about the Bengals and felt the need to run his mouf. Yup, mouf.

The Redskins have had the hardest schedule in the NFC so far, just for the record.

According to Sagarin (the king of pro sports rankings) it is the Eagles. Your skins are 4th.

I guess 3 SBs in 4 years with todays NFL cap setup and still leading his division with all of the injuries and talent lost really shows how poor of a coach he is. You are right to laugh at him!

Everyone knows in the reactionary league that is the NFL you're only as good as your last win. And tonight he lost. Eat your humble pie. I don't care at AWL about the Patriots. So this elaborate pissing contest of yours isn't working.

I care more about two weeks from now, gearing up for our next 7 games.

So by your logic everyone knows Belichick is a bad coach because of his last game? Great post. :plain

I love how you keep bringing irrelevant material to the argument. So, according to YOUR argument, the Bengals suck because they're not the Patriots and aren't coached by Bill Bellichick? I concede. You're right. We're the worst team ever at being the Patriots. You win that one. Stunning development there.

You brought Bellichick in this argument. I didn't. I never said he was a bad coach. Never said that at all. I said he got owned by the Colts. It happens. The Colts are a better team this year. Thanks for adding your Pats homerness to my Bengals thread, though.

I was referring to the NFC - where the Skins have the second hardest. Going into this week the Skins were first in the NFC. In any case thanks for that link.

Your reading comprehension is weak. You said Marvin Lewis is the best coach ever, I said Bill Belichick would have something to say about that. You then made some comment downgrading Belichick because everyone knows "you are only as good as your last game". Nothing was said about the Bengals and Patriots in those comments. My comments about the Bengals are they are an overrated team until they prove they can beat top notch opponents and not rack up wins on the Houston Texans of the world.

Pretty simple stuff.

Your arguments are weak and you take every statement literally. And Bill Belichick is not the greatest coach ever. Apparently you're unaware that he coached a team from Cleveland to mediocrity (they had one good year), traded their star QB for no reason to start Testaverde and various other moves that stunned and shocked their crappy fanbase.

Bengals don't make the schedule. We played two games against two winning teams (Pittsburgh and Jacksonville) and we lost. *shrugs* The Jacksonville game was away and we didn't do our job. Pittsburgh blew us out. We'll see what happens. We're still going to make the playoffs, much to your chagrin.

Actually, if you want to talk about reading comprehension, I said I laughed in his direction. *shrugs* I never "downgraded" his status. He lost one game. Doesn't mean he still isn't a great coach. That being said, I'm done with this topic. The Bengals don't play the Patriots, so I don't care about them. I'm done talking about 4-4 teams.
