November 8, 200519 yr Next year's crop of free agent starting pitching is un-freakin' believable: Top 2006 free agents: Barry Zito (Athletics), Mark Buehrle (White Sox)*, Mark Mulder (Cardinals), Jason Schmidt (Giants), John Smoltz (Braves)*, Jon Garland (White Sox), Mike Mussina (Yankees)*, Kerry Wood (Cubs)*, Andy Pettitte (Astros), Adam Eaton (Padres), Kelvim Escobar (Angels), Jason Marquis (Cardinals), Brad Radke (Twins), Kip Wells (Pirates), Greg Maddux (Cubs), Tom Glavine (Mets), John Thomson (Braves), Ted Lilly (Blue Jays), Jeff Suppan (Cardinals), Randy Wolf (Phillies), Wade Miller (Red Sox), Vicente Padilla (Phillies), Tim Wakefield (Red Sox)*, Steve Trachsel (Mets), Cory Lidle (Phillies), Jaret Wright (Yankees)*, Gil Meche (Mariners), Mark Redman (Pirates), Orlando Hernandez (White Sox), David Wells (Red Sox), Woody Williams (Padres), Bruce Chen (Orioles), Paul Wilson (Reds)*, Chan Ho Park (Padres) Yes, please!

Agreed, alot of big time closers next year and some big name bats as well. It should be nuts, one of many reasons I want the Red Sox not to make any stupid high priced decisions this go around. They have Ryan going to the Sox, I would love that...but they have Damon re-signing, I would hate that.

Can you imagine if the Giants start out slow? :drool
November 8, 200519 yr I think a few of those names wil be shopped this off-season too. See: Zito, Barry
November 8, 200519 yr All those guys are potential FA's. Most teams will resign those guys I would think
November 8, 200519 yr All those guys are potential FA's. Most teams will resign those guys I would think Why do you say that? I dont see most of them re-signing. The Cards will upgrade and let Mulder go and sign Buehrle. Smoltz would re-sign. Pettitte will want to be on more of a contender then what the Astros will be at that time. Alot of those guys will probably retire too.
