Opinion what will getting a new owner do?

Featured Replies

I'm reading alot hate toward Loria but isn't he the third owner in the last 8yrs? What will another owner do that the others have failed to do? Lose more money? com'on this issue is deeper then just changing owners. I don't blame Loria for what his doing, as much as it hurts to lose a Castillo who's been with the Marlins since the start of the franchise, NOBODY not you or me would just sit back and lose money with no light at the end of the tunnel. Yes there are two side to every story, but what this owner has brought to me the last three years is alot happy times more than any of the other two combine. I just have to give him the benefit of the doubt that he tried everything to make this work. He's a fan like you and I...you've seen it the last three years. It pains me to see my joy be ripped apart in the last month, but everyone saw this coming. Go back and look at the other two owners there just come a point where enough is enough as far as the loses($$)I'm still going to go to games b/c I love the game too bad there isn't more like me :plain

Having an owner with deeper pockets would help. It is still amazing to me that if there truly was only a $30M funding gap that Loria wouldn't have bridged it himself if that's what it took to get construction going. I believe there is merit in the comments that he just didn't have the money and couldn't secure the financing.

The Marlins need an owner who will build a stadium, not one who wants to mooch off the taxpayers.

If Codina bought the Marlins the stadium would be built in a second. Loria just doesn't know the right people in Miami to get it done. It's that simple.
