  1. 2001. When I moved to Florida. Thank God for the MLB Package on DirecTV because since I moved back to South Carolina in 2005, I have only missed a few games on TV.
  2. 2003 for me. I was sitting in the club seats looking down the third base live when Gonzo hit that home run off Weaver in Game 4. It doesn't get any better. I was also one of the idiots that stood up and clapped for Roger Clemens because it was his "Last Game". Sucker!!!! I wish I could delete that segment off the 2003 DVD I konw. I felt stupid while I was doing it. But NOW.... I feel like a complete moron.

  4. To be honest, I would prefer these talking heads to stay off our jock. The last thing they need is a bunch of blow hards jumping on the bandwagon.
  5. Tim Kirkjian was just saying this morning the Marlins have "no right" to be where they are and something about it being fraudulent or a fraud or something akin to that. Tim Kirkjian was also the one in 2003 who said up until the end that the Marlins would not win the Wild Card. The guy is a tool with a capital T.
  6. That picture of Hanley speaks a thousand words. His swing is in a big time funk right now.
  7. It would be nice if they win the world series and piss off the rest of the country again. Damn right.
  8. Who wouldn't be sad to live in Detroit. That is one town that really does suck.
  9. I'm an Ex-Marlin season ticket holder living in North Carolina for the last 3 years. (5 miles from Charlotte Knights AAA Stadium... pretty sweet). What's the buzz like in SoFla now that the stadium is finalized? Any chance we will see some crowds at Dolphin Stadium now that the team is firmly in place for the next 35 years? Just curious...
  10. YeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I might shed a tear.
  11. Awesome pics! Man I wish I were back in Florida for baseball season.
  12. I no longer live down there. But things sound like they are progressing. Lets get it done.
  13. I would bet $100 that if we don't have a new stadium by 2015 in 2015 we'll still be playing home games at Dolphin Stadium. At Dolphin Stadium..... in front of 4,000 to 5,000 loyal fans paying $49 to park.
  14. I smell a no-hitter. :thumbup
  15. We play the Nationals this weekend. If the fishies can't something going against the Nationals, then something is seriously wrong. The problem is the Nationals are starting to play better. That doesn't mean they are a good team by any means, I'm just saying that they are playing better than when we first saw them.
  16. The concert is after the game. Fireworks come after the show. The stage is set up right behind the infield. The best seats are anywhere facing the stage, honestly. They put the stage kind of far, which kind of sucks. But I guess it's because they don't want to mess with the infield? I have a question too. I saw some pictures of the Idol contestants giving autographs. I saw the autograph table, but I thought it was for players and they give you an autograph pass like they did a couple of years ago. For these autographs, do you have to get a pass to get in line or do you just randomly get in the line? I have an answer to your question. The autographs are pre game. Down where all the festivities are. I didn't notice any passes being issued, just a long line for the Idol people, and people just walking up to the line and getting into it. I hope that answers your question. Last time they also had Shannon Briggs signing autographs. Real nice guy. And he stayed there alot longer than he was scheduled to. Got to chat a bit with him and got my pic taken next to that big fist in my face. LOL I believe this week they will have another boxer there as well. I'm not an Idol fan by any stretch of the imagination so we left before the concert and fireworks that night. But we will be staying for Cheap Trick, Kansas, and Joan Jett. We are just going to pick and choose which concerts we stay for. After all, you pay for the game, everything else is, well, free. But I would highly reccomend going very early and enjoying the pre game stuff every Saturday. I'm with Chewbacca on this one. This is a great idea. A real family oriented event. How anyone could complain about getting something for free just because they don't like the bands is beyond me. I would say to their face, get there for the National Anthem, leave after the last out, shut the heck up, and stop being such a Steinbrenner(replace name with body part of your choice). And yes. They don't want to mess up the infield. Why cant people be upset at the band quality? The marlins are making the concert and fireworks a big part of the saturday games, therefore people (including myself) are going to expect a decent band. If they didnt make such a big deal out of it, then who cares if they have Joan Jett playing after a game. Yes its great that its free, I would probably check out Kansas, but if they are going to make the bands a big part of the event then they should get better bands. I didn't know there was a better band than Kansas.... :thumbup I mean c'mon, the guitar player wears an eye-patch. Arrrgghhh.
  17. After seeing all of those empty seats, I'll bet you'll never want to see the color orange again.
  18. :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy I need to change my Log In to "HolycrapIlovetheMarlinsandIwishIcouldhangwiththematthestripbars" That's what the hell I'm talking about! Shower them hoes with doughs!
  19. I would like to take a moment to thank DirecTV, DVR, and the MLB Extra Innings Package. Without the three of you, I would have to quit my job, get a divorce and lose custody of my son. I would like to start a Grass Roots campaign to make MLB Opening Day an Official Holiday. Merry Opening Day!! Just don't sit on Bud Selig's lap at the mall, he'll try to steal your wallet. Now lets beat the sh*t out of the Gnats and come home with the division lead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Don't worry miamibaseball. The new stadium will be built next to the current Joe Robbie stadium, and there will be plenty of parking. You'll be parking in Wayne's World instead of Jose's backyard. :thumbup We have a winner.
  21. I have equal feelings of hate for all four division rivals. That said, I'll be in Atlanta next Saturday wearing my Marlins gear. So Saturday, I will consider the Braves our biggest rival. Today, it is the Gnats.
  22. Jump: Better than Abercrombie Route: Better than Abercrombie Range: C Arm: B+ Leadership: Maybe as a full time player he'll rely on some of the traits he learned as a quarterback while at Stanford.
  23. Is this ever going to happen? I fear my son will be hoping for a Marlins stadium after I am dead and buried.
